Organized in 1832, the Village of Hempstead Volunteer Fire Department provides fire protection and fire extinguishing services, initiating life rescue, rendering emergency medical assistance, controlling hazardous material situation including weapons of mass destruction incidents and providing related emergency services for the Village of Hempstead, NY. They are your neighbors, friends, and relatives, and they are actively involved in the community to make The Village of Hempstead a safe place to work and live.
